Hello! today was the first day of our adventure camp!!! ok larz i admit i wasn't all that enthu for it but Oh well.. haha actually it wasn't all that bad lar...probably cos today was (and is probably gonna b) the most fun day of all the three days... so yea... in the morning, we bid our dear OBS 3 peeps goodbye-- comprising of Cerise, Hazel, Chang Xi, Gen and some others... hehe i forgot... wells anw, after that we were grouped... and we were basically together in our classes.. we weren't really split up... except that all our classes were split into two... so yea... we got into group D, which was the rope obstacles followed by the dragon boating.. so i was kinda lucky cos i wore all the right clothes haha... so yea... and there were seventeen of us in my group... mostly even numbers, except for yiling... HAHA... well anw...
yar then we headed to the st mike's block for wall climbing. Ivan and Eunice were our instructors at that station, and they were pretty nice... yea then after they taught us how to put on our harnesses and our helmets, they taught us the right calls for the climbers and the belayers and the rope managers... and then we took turns to climb the wall... it was actually quite easy when i did it, because by the time i did it, a few people had already done it and that had encouraged me to try harder and had given me ideas as to how to climb it better i guess.. haha and it was good too cos everyone was cheering me on when i got to the difficult parts, and i hv to say that was nice... and we all cheered everyone else on when they had difficulties in climbing the wall... and Ivan treated us to drinks when at least five of us could make it all the way to the top.. so it was pretty nice too.. haha... but more than five of us managed to complete it larz... then it started to rain and we had to run in and ate sandwiches...
after that we headed to the basketball court, where we did the rope obstacles... there was the double rope crossing, the inverted crossing, the balancer and the slack ladder... But we only got to do the double rope crossing and the inverted crossing... due to the lack of time but oh well... haha... yea then we were split into two groups yet again and my half went to the double rope crossing... and we had to wear gloves for this... and the rest of us supported one girl as she made her way across.. some didn't find it that easy cos they had a problem in keeping their legs in the right position... and we had to keep supporting their weight and supressing their falls and nudging their legs back into position... i guess that was kinda hard cos i was at the leg end most of the time and i was bearing the brunt of their kicks into my face and body when they fell or were falling.. but it was otherwise ok lar... and i also had to sustain their weight while helping them put their knees into position... and it was especially hard, i discovered, because the ropes were actually uneven... the right was more taut than the left, and so when it was my turn, i placed most of my weight on the right side, and it was much easier then and i didn't fall either... *beams* haha ok nvm... and then we moved on to the single rope inverted crossing... which was much more difficult than the double rope crossing... because for the single rope, we could only place one leg on the rope-- the other one dangles singly and we had to haul ourselves more than halfway across... but that was just the easy part... when we reached the "mid-point", we had to balance there without our arms while the merciless instructors swung us back and forth... for five counts... and after that we had to flip ourselves upside down and place both feet on the rope and haul ourselves across that way.. and it was so much more difficult for me cos i was dangling like that... and it took nearly every ounce of my arm strength (which really isn't much!) to move hand by hand to the end... but it really helped that my teammates kept encouraging me and cheering me on... and that really helped me finish...
After that we went to the St Gab's block for the Flying Fox and Abseiling... i was really looking forward to the Flying fox because i had never gotten a chance to go on the flying fox... the last chance i had was at the p5 adventure camp... and that was really long ago too... but i couldn't because our team had no time to go on it... so... i reeeeeeally wanted to go this time... and i managed! cos our whole class gathered together over there, and one team did Abseiling first and we did the Flying Fox first... and we really used that chance to scream our lungs out... it was pretty fun...but at the last part, after i flew, the harness was pretty painful cos i had three impacts with three stoppers the instructors had placed at the end of the cable... and i fumbled with the carrabina (or however you spell it! haha) for like two minutes trying to figure out how to unscrew it... haha oh well... so yea anw... it was still really fun tho... however, we didn't get to do the abseiling cos there was no more time... but the other group managed to do both because the Flying Fox was much faster than the abseiling... but they missed out on lunch time... but i guess that is much better than eating... *sigh*... Miss Teo said we might get to do it on Friday... i sure hope so!
wells anw... aft lunch we changed into the attire for dragon boating, and we headed there with 3/9 on the bus... and the instructor we had initially was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO quiet we could barely hear him speak, much less to even TRY to hear what he was saying.. so oh well... after awhile of trying to hear but not succeeding, i got fed up and started writing in the tables of the camp booklet on the different activities we had done so far... but the ride was surprisingly fast and we were there before i could start on another table... When we reached there, we were assigned our instructors and given our paddles and life vests... and it was quite funny cos Frances and I were fooling around with the paddles and trying to whack each other with them... haha oh well... anw we got into our boats and drifted off into the river, where our instructor taught us properly how to paddle the boat... our instructor's name is Woon, and he's really short but quite funny larz... but he's such a slacker ok!!!!! he kept telling us to "enjoooooy the breeze and the sea and the suuuuun, what's the point of always trying to win? no prize also wat.." and from that moment i started saying Stupid Woon... haha but of course not infront of him la... welll anyway... after awhile of practicing and challenging 3/9 in boat songs, we had a so-called RACE, but it wasn't exactly a RACE for us because STUPID WOON wasn't telling the steerer where to go, and we ended up careering to the extreme right while everyone was going straight... uuuurgh so irritating.. and he was just sitting there happily while we were paddling like mad and wondering why we were heading in the wrong direction, and eventually we were so behind the rest of them that STUPID WOON told us to stop, and we were like "WHAAAAAAT???!!!" and he just calmly went, "We are being smart you see, we know there's no point in going like the rest of them, there's no prize, after all you all should ENJOY THE PROCESS, and the SEA and the SUN and the BREEZE"...... uuuurgh... i was soooooooo annoyed ok!!!!!!! so yea anw... but it was actually quite funny larz... cos we were singing songs and splashing sea water into each other's faces, but we ended up the driest group when we returned to the land for the debrief... and it was quite funny... cos we were cheering for ourselves and for the instructors and for the STUPID WOON... haha oh wells... he did impart a bit of valuable knowledge to us... and after we dried off, our skins were covered with streaks of small salt particles... and it felt so yucky and at that moment i just felt like a shower to get all the salt off... and some people went to rinse and change clothes before we boarded the bus to go back to school.
on the way back it was quite quiet and boring... yiling and i were mainly watching Trang sleeping... and talking to luu, and listening to others' conversations because we were too tired to form our own... haha until i heard corinne mewing and making extremely strange noises at the back...
when we got back, we had an egg tart and a samosa.. and it wasn't bad.. either that or i was just really hungry haha... and we had our camp debrief for the day and reflection... and some people came up and shared with us their experience and what they got out of it and stuff... so that was quite nice lar... hope tmr's not as boring as i think it's gonna be... ok sorry ppl, i didn't noe i was gonna write this long... but oh well! cya guys soon... Morning! it's a saturday and it seems that no one is at home but me! *sigh* haha... oh wells... borrrreeeeeeeedddddddd..... nowadays all i can do is
1) Watch tv ( and there's nothing to see! )
2) Go online ( but how long can one's eyes take it without popping out of their sockets? suspensory ligaments aren't all that strong u noe... ) and
3) Read (but u noe, no matter how much i love reading, it can get boring after awhile)
4) Watch vcds ( i did want to, but now they're all getting boring! is it just me...?)
oh wells... i think it's just me... esp cos i hardly go out these days... everyone's broke or duzzn wanna go... i mean, hello? i bet i'm even more broke than all of their "brokeness" put together! oh man... haha oh well... larlarlar... it's ten plus... and i hv ballet at five... hmmmm.... should i go for the grade seven class? hmmmm... maybe i'll just go to work on my technique... it REALLY needs alot of work... i mean, considering my what, almost nine years of experience, you'd think i'd hv improved... but... hmmmmmmm...... guess not.. haha oh wells!
goin to my grandma's house tmr... yay at last i get to c my cousins... u noe, recently i realised most of my cousins are hving impt exams this yr... two are taking (ok, maybe i should say TOOK ) PSLE, one had his P4 streaming (well i guess that's not really major but oh well!) and my sis has her O's and my bro has his A's... so yea... that leaves only myself and one other cousin, who's in sec 1 this yr... so yea... haha... we're the only ones without major exams... and next yr, we'll be the ONLY ones with major exams! how sucky is that? haha and the worst part is, i'll be the only one REALLY TOILING.... i hope so anw.. HAHAHA... oh wells... hee... ok i'll cya guys soon soon! maybe tonight.. oops better go sew my leotard.. HEE!!!! *grin* i've been leaving it for too long alr... i'll go i'll go...

arloe peeps!!!!! hee... oh and to everyone reading this, Happy Deepavali!! See, i'm not THAT blur... at least i noe wad day this is... hahaha...
today i went to watch matchstick men with a church friend... it was pretty fun haha... but we met waaaaaaay too early for the show which started at 2:45... we met at 12:30... so yea... we basically sat at lido and ate and talked all the way... the show? it was reeeeeealllllyyyyyyyy gooooood... not like seabiscuit, but reeeeeeeeallllly good... for those of you who watch movies for twists, GO SEE THIS. it's reeeeeeeally good! i mean, at first it seems as if you know entirely what's going on, but suddenly you get all confused, and it's really shocking, cos the drastic changes take place really fast and REALLY DRASTICALLY... everything just suddenly turned 180 degrees... so yar... the twist was really effective... and it was funny too (surprise, surprise)... and the twenty-something girl who acted as the 14-yr-old daughter was really good too... she acted surprisingly 14 too... except her character was a bit of the wild child... haha so yea.... overall it was great! hee... and no piggy i didn't take any neoprints... muahahahaha... now tag me! haha...
today i went to watch matchstick men with a church friend... it was pretty fun haha... but we met waaaaaaay too early for the show which started at 2:45... we met at 12:30... so yea... we basically sat at lido and ate and talked all the way... the show? it was reeeeeealllllyyyyyyyy gooooood... not like seabiscuit, but reeeeeeeeallllly good... for those of you who watch movies for twists, GO SEE THIS. it's reeeeeeeally good! i mean, at first it seems as if you know entirely what's going on, but suddenly you get all confused, and it's really shocking, cos the drastic changes take place really fast and REALLY DRASTICALLY... everything just suddenly turned 180 degrees... so yar... the twist was really effective... and it was funny too (surprise, surprise)... and the twenty-something girl who acted as the 14-yr-old daughter was really good too... she acted surprisingly 14 too... except her character was a bit of the wild child... haha so yea.... overall it was great! hee... and no piggy i didn't take any neoprints... muahahahaha... now tag me! haha...

Stole this off constance's site... come to think of it, i've nv actually looked arnd before!!!!!! haha whoops... oh and i shall not post all the others, if you want to c your own, go to constance's site.well anw today i came back frm a very boliao briefing for our very boliao camp... and we don't even get to stay over man! how annoying... but i guess a camp without staying over is still better than no camp at all... so yea... well anw i hv ballet later... i think i shall go for the grade 7 class as well! incase they do inter instead of grade7... sigh and i end at 9:45 tonight! uuurgh and i gotta be in school early too! uuuuuuurgh oh well... ok i'll cya soon! maybe i'll post more stuff...

You know, i really had a completely different vision of today... Today was supposed to be the happiest day of my life... and i wonder why it doesn't seem to be... It all just feels so weird... today was a math, my last exam, incase you guys dunno wad i'm talking about... and i assumed after it and legion we would be going out and watching a movie and taking neoprints and everything, but i hv no idea why i'm sitting here and blogging now.. after having been online for at least two hours... i mean, it's all just so WEIRD!!!!
well... aniwae... had a really insightful conversation with Gideon today... AMAZINGLY, but yes, you all read right... Gideon... and for once, he was nice to me... so... i was pretty surprised... so anw... lalala... sian ok... i had no idea i would be this bored after exams.... its always like this!!!!!!! i just wish it wasn't ... so BORING!!!!!!!!!!!! uuuuuuuuuurghhhhhh........ well anw....

MADAME BUTTERFLY RULED!!!!!!!!!! it was reeeeeeeeeallllllyyyyyyyyy reeeeaaaaaaaallllllllyyyyyyyyy gggggggoooooooooooooodddddddd!!!!!!!!!! seriously, to those who missed it (today was the last day), you all really lost out!!!!!! it was really excellent... *sigh*... esp cos the canadian dancers came down to perform... they were soooooooooooooo ggoooooooooooood... and their expression was simply ooooooooooozzzzzzzzzing out... i loved every moment of it... except my place... sigh i was like on circle two, which is the second cheapest tickets, and i was ALL THE WAY AT THE BACK!!!!!! aaaaaaaaaaarg at that time, i really hated myself for not thinking of bringing binocs ok!!!!!! uuuuuuurgh.... wells anw... it was stiillll wonderful.. just like all ballets are... but this was reallly good... and did i mention that the dancer playing Butterfly had a simply beyyyyyoooooooooooooooooootiful arch! i'm serious, its not the ninety degree type, its the curved type that so few dancers actually have!!!!!! (oh and may i say that xia hai ying is one of those few? :)) *siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiggggghhhhhhh*... its sooooooo like there's NO WAY i'll ever have an arch half as nice as that.... sigh... but after that, i really felt v inspired to dance full out! pity it wasn't realli the right time.... wahaha oh wells... hmm.. oh but there was one thing not so wonderful abt it tho... Sakura Shimizu was one of the pricipal dancers... and she was REEEEEALLy good... but i think yesterday just wasn't one of her turning days.. cos they weren't realli good... but still!!!!! they were all soooooo goood... esp. the kurus!!!!!!!!! they were just like swan lake and giselle... sigh... they looked like they were being moved on trolleys ok! that's just how smooth it looked, esp with all the dry ice, which really added greatly to the effect... haha oh wells... i think i'm rambling too much about it.. haha but today i had class.. grade 8... and i tried to dance with more feeling with all the impact frm yesterday... but hmm... miss ho slid her hand down her face while saying "you... (then she did it)"... sigh oh well... i doubt i will ever "blossom", like wat miss ho always talks abt.. oh well.... ok i'll talk more about it tmr maybe... but i realli gtg now... this is sooo weird! there's NOBODY online! is it just me? am i not supposed to be online or sumthin??? hmmmmmmmmm............ wells anw cya guys!
